When Clayton was approached about partnering with Delton to own and operate Hayboss Feeders™ he knew it was the perfect opportunity. Clayton had been working in Fort McMurray for 5 years as a Journeyman Millwright for Shell Canada. This was all part of a plan he had made with his wife Carmen; that he would work away while she got her business going and that, after 5 years, he would start his own.
On perfect cue, the Hayboss™ opportunity presented itself and Clayton’s vision of being an entrepreneur was realized. But this wasn’t Clayton’s first entrepreneurial rodeo. In fact, by the age of 10 years, Clayton had his entire farm plan sketched out on graph paper. When he was 12 years old and onward he was building mini barns, learning to weld, repairing farm equipment and rebuilding and painting vehicles. Before he was 20 years old, Clayton was already a partner in the family business, Delclayna Whitetail Deer & Bison Company. They were one of the largest deer and bison farmers in Alberta. Len Jubinville had invented the Deer Handler, a system for handling deer, and Clayton helped his father perfect the system and later moved to Swanville, Minnesota to oversee its manufacturing shop. In his late 20’s, Clayton owned and operated a construction business building a few homes and renovating others. All of this experience and zest has led Clayton to where he is now. He has always had a passion for farming, inventing and business. Hayboss Feeders™ is a product Clayton is very excited about! Like everything in his life, he is committed and motivated to share this product with the people as a way to enhance life on the farm and acreage.
Clayton resides on an acreage in Sturgeon County, Alberta with his wife Carmen and their two children, Raylen and Cara.
Delton was born in St. Albert, Alberta on March 30, 1976. With his father having an active life in the horse world, Delton began riding at the ripe age of two years old. His love for animals was evident; he was passionate, committed, and had a very instinctive way with the horses that exuded an energy far beyond his years. As Delton matured, that passion for working and training horses as well as dogs became an integral part of his day-to-day life. Being very talented in carpentry it was natural for Delton to work in the trades while raising bison, whitetail deer, horses, and cattle. He was also involved in the manufacturing industry, where he learned to weld and fabricate quality deer handling products. As the deer industry met unforeseen challenges and the price of bison hit an all time low, Delton’s main source of income was derived from his carpentry skills. In these challenging times he continued working with horses and dabbling with creative and innovative ideas that could lead him back to what he was most passionate about…horses and the ranching lifestyle. In 2012 an opportunity presented itself to perfect a forage feeding system that Delton believed whole-heartedly in. He wasted no time and set to work researching, drafting, and designing a top-notch multi species feeder known as HayBoss Feeders™. In reflection, Delton believes being raised on the farm and remaining active in the farming environment has in a large part contributed to the development of this unrivaled feeder.
Delton Jubinville currently owns and operates HayBoss Feeders™ with his partner and brother Clayton Jubinville. HayBoss Feeders™ and the satisfaction of their customers remain Delton’s central professional focus. On a personal note, Delton continues to raise and train ranch horses as he and his love plan their family and ranching future.
Leonard Jubinville grew up with his parents and 11 siblings on a mixed farm in central Alberta, Canada. An entrepreneur from a young age, he raised pigs, cattle, sold milk and trained horses from his family’s farm. Later he became a carpenter and started his own construction company soon after completing his apprenticeship.
His farming and construction background came in handy when he decided to venture into the newly introduced deer farming industry in Alberta. Always up for a new challenge, he developed and patented deer handling equipment which he still manufactures and sells throughout North America through Deerstore.com.
Leonard was always one to find solutions to a problem which led him to design and patent numerous products over the years. Several years ago, while doing his daily chores, he once again found himself thinking “there’s got to be a better way to feed hay, stop all the waste and save labor!” hence the birth of the new and revolutionary HayBoss Feeders™.
